You can expect a thorough inspection from a certified auto technician who pays attention to detail. You will also receive an inspection report that shows the vehicle parts or systems that were examined and whether they meet Maryland’s standards for function and safety. If your vehicle passes the inspection, you will receive a Certificate of Inspection. If the report identifies issues with your vehicle, you will need to have the problems fixed and the vehicle re-inspected by the same inspector at the same authorized station. A re-inspection fee may apply unless the repair(s) can be visually verified without additional testing.
The inspection process at Can Care Auto is typically completed within one or two hours. Although the inspection checklist provided by the MVA is comprehensive, the staff at Can Care Auto is highly efficient and able to complete the inspection quickly.
And you need to bring it in for an inspection, You will need to obtain a temporary, 30-day registration first. This will allow you to legally drive your car to and from the inspection location. You can obtain a temporary registration through the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) website at mva.maryland.gov. Once you have the temporary registration, you can bring your car in for the inspection as scheduled.
